Liked everything. Away from city center but convenient to public transportation. Hotel was clean, quiet and luxurious. Staff was courteous professional, Multilingual and went above and beyond. Fantastic view from room, breakfast was a 10,beds were comfortable, pool area was clean and quiet. A true getaway hotel. We will be back!!
Unable to stay longer, not the hotels fault.
We went with a handicapped/wheelchair friend and her daughter to attend a wedding nearby. The staff were 100% attentive to us and nothing was too much trouble. The disabled room was very good and the bathroom was very well appointed for disabled users. The view from the terraces and some of the rooms looked over Florence and we could see the Duomo. The setting was perfect. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice.
It was charming. The dinner food was excellent. The view of the Florence was beautiful.
The charge for Internet access was absurd. That should be included, like utilities. The staff was too thin at times. There was no one to help with the luggage at 7:30am when we checked out. I do not blame the staff, only the lack there of.
It was a quiet location with scenic views. The bus to/from Florence was frequent and stops in front of the hotel. The place was very clean and beautiful building. The staff were very friendly
The WiFi access was charged per hour and expensive, requiring a login And logout page - very annoying for iPhone/IPad users. Stupid when wifi is free in cafes in the town. The prices for all services (restaurant, poolside drinks etc.) were way overpriced to the point of a rip-off. €5 for a can of beer in the minibar? €4.20 for a glass of apple juice from a bottle? Lol
The location on the Fiesole hillside, overlooking Florence, with a view of the Duomo. The swimming pool. Very good breakfast buffet. Bus into Florence stops right outside and tickets are available from the hotel.
The staff was very helpful
The rooms need to be updated. The patio outside our room was so hot during the day we could not us it. There were certain lights in the room we could not use. There were only two outlets you could use. The hair dryer was not a dryer but a long tube, which got very hot and took for ever to dry your hair. Our room faced the street and the noise level was high. The ac in this one room was behind the curtains and in a box and it took an extremely long time to cool the room down
More possibilities : city, mountains, country and ... No need of car!
Small swimming-pool, no wellness, sauna
Great views. Lovely terrace for meals. The room was pretty small, but light and airy, with good views of Florence.
No mini-bar, which you would expect in a hotel for this price.
We are a couple with two children age 9 and 11. We booked a triple room with an extra bed and this arrangement was ideal. We had a large double bedroom, a superbly appointed bathroom, plus another room which comprised two single beds in a sort of dressing room. All rooms led off a central hallway behind one door to the room itself, so we were completely self-contained. Superb, safe arrangement and ideal for a family. The hotel had a small outdoor swimming pool which was quite perfect for our needs.
The room was beautiful and it had a pool.
The staff was unfriendly and not very knowledgeable or helpful about anything. My arrival was later in the evening and they put me in a room for dinner that looked like it was part of the kitchen. I asked to eat outside on the patio and they said there was no room. There was. The waiter was rude and the service was terrible and food mediocre. None of the facility was really air conditioned unless you call 85 degrees cool. It took forever to cool the room down. If you asked the front desk for anything they looked at you like it was their first day on the job. The view was good, but not great. The facility was pretty but poorly run. It was very expensive for what you received. I was told it was 10 min by bus into the city, more like 20 to 30 with all the stops. I would not use them again and would stay in town for convenience and probably better service.
The staff at the reception and breakfast were always very courteous and efficient. They upgraded us to a room with its own terrace to the courtyard. We could see downtown Florence and the Cathedral from our terrace at breakfast. We were also able to find some great restaurants in Fiesole. It was easy to get to Florence by bus and avoid the traffic by car.
The parking was a little limited when they had an evening dinner party there, but the staff were helpful in finding other parking naerby.
Excellent location, great views over Florence, peaceful setting, Very comfortable, welcoming and friendly reception staff ,overall service was excellent, Close to bus service stop vip, Superior rooms are very nice.
Great location - easy to get into Florence on bus, service very good, breakfast options broad, views over Florence wonderful, great WiFi, rooms very comfortable with opening windows
The hotel overlooked Florence so the views were fabulous. The hotel was small but beautifully decorated throughout. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure our trip was a complete success. Would definately recommend anyone to stay there & we will be visiting again for sure!
The rooms could have been bigger but they still had everything we needed.
We were originally booked for four nights but extended to six nights (glad we did). The position above Florence is just superb with 180 degree views over the city. The No. 7 bus is a quick and convenient way to get into and out of the city. The location while on the main road up to Fiesole is very quiet. The rooms are very comfortable with a classical decor. The bed is actually two singles and is very comfortable. The staff were very good and would go out of their way to help with advice. All the staff members we encountered spoke English which is a help for the frazzled traveler. We would stay here again and have already recommended it to friends.
